Alaska Cruise
August 9 - 16, 2008
|
| |
Ask any of the more than 15,000 people who attend the annual Spirit West Coast Christian music festival in either Del Mar or Monterey, California, what the festival is like, and you’ll get a diverse response. Spiritual growth, renewal, encouragement, and of course feasting on dozens of Christian music live performances, are all part of the Spirit West Coast experience. Add in fun for all ages plus fellowship with friends and family, and you’ll have summed up the Spirit West Coast experience.
JOIN US as we take the festival experience to sea, with the “Spirit Cruise ‘08” to Alaska. Each evening we’ll have private concerts onboard with some of today’s top contemporary Christian music artists. Sprinkle in some Christian comedy, daily morning worship, “meet the artists” sessions, and some group goofing-off time and those fabulous excursions, and you’ll have the best cruise ever.
We invite you to join us as we voyage northward for not only the astounding beauty of Alaska and the pampered pleasure of the cruise itself, but also for an unforgettable and spirited week of friendship, fellowship and festivities. |

Seattle, WA
The Emerald City of the Pacific Northwest, Seattle is known for its stunning waterfront. “Catch” a salmon at Pike Place Market, ride to the top of the Space Needle, sample a local microbrew in funky Fremont, or down a cup of java in the coffee capital of the world.
Juneau, AK
Located at the foot of grand mountain peaks on the Gastineau Channel, the town of Juneau has the massive Mendenhall Glacier and the immense Juneau Icefields at its back door. Visit the rustic shops in town. Or get out and kayak, dogsled, raft, bike, hike, heli-hike, flightsee, or fish. There’s no end to the adventure because we’re in port long enough to truly take advantage of the long daylight hours.
Hubbard Glacier Cruising
Come face to face with a gigantic wall of ice that fills your view and extends for miles in either direction. It s a titan on the move, advancing faster than almost any other glacier on the continent. As you glide along this sparkling blue marvel, watch for seals basking on ice floes, listen for the loud, deep rumble and wait for the mighty crack and thunderous crash. At any moment, you could be witness to an eternal drama as nature´s hand sculpts icebergs before your wondering eyes. A Park Ranger and a Tlingit Native speaker will join the ship for the glacier viewing.
Sitka, AK
Sitka is blessed with abundant marine wildife. Get out on the water aboard a dayboat or kayak, and you’ll pass seal haul-outs and seabird rookeries filled with nature’s sights and sounds.
Ketchikan, AK
Built out over the water and climbing weathered stairways, Ketchikan clings to the shores of Tongass Narrows. Visit Creek Street, the Tongass Historical Museum, Totem Bight State Park, and the Saxman Village. There are numerous galleries exhibiting Native art and works by talented local artisans. A floatplane flightseeing trip to breathtaking Misty Fjords National Monument is a transforming adventure not to be missed.
Victoria, B.C., Canada
Stroll through the charming downtown of this very British city, with its double-decker buses, turreted castles, fine British woolens, tea, and china. Or just outside the city, visit the lush flora and fauna of Butchart Gardens.
